Need a Disposable Email Address Try These Great Services
There are dozens of such services, and most are really easy to use. Its just a matter of finding the one which offers the right features for you, and yes, there are all kinds of different features and perks to be had. So if you need a confidential disposable email address that you dont want tracked, here are some excellent options you can try.
Important note: never use these services for sensitive information or for emails containing usernames and passwords you want to protect. While they are reasonably private, they are still not secure as your regular email account.
GuerrillaMail
GuerrillaMail provides more than just a disposable email address. In fact, the email address you get from GuerrillaMail never expires, so its actually not disposable – its even better. To use GuerrillaMail, all you have to do is choose your inbox ID, which would be your email address, and youre ready to go. You can have any username you want, and choose between seven different domains. When you receive an email to your new address, it will automatically appear on your email page. You can reply from within GuerrillaMail, and even attach files. GuerrillaMail acts as a spam filter too, so spam shouldnt even reach your inbox, and all email is deleted within 1 hour.
Since your address lasts forever (unless you tell it to forget you), you can use it again and again. All you have to do is enter the same email to view your inbox, so anyone who has it can view it. GuerrillaMail solves this problem by using aliases when sending out emails, so your recipients cant access your GuerrillaMail. The downside is that sometimes emails I sent out from GuerrillaMail simply never arrived.
In a nutshell: Read, reply and attach files, permanent address with alias, emails deleted in 1 hour.
FakeInbox
FakeInbox is slightly better looking than is common for these services, and offers fake email addresses that self-destruct after 60 minutes. All the provided addresses are in the same domain – fakeinbox.com – and you can either choose your own username or let the service generate a random one for you. You can now give this address to anyone, and receive incoming emails on FakeInboxs interface. You can also reply from here, and those are received instantly. A countdown at the bottom of the page shows you how much time you have left with this address. Done with it? You can delete it before your time is up. Want an extra 60 minutes? You can get that as well.
In a nutshell: Read and reply, address and inbox deleted in 60 minutes (can extend).
MailCatch
MailCatch is very similar to GuerrillaMail, but with a cherry on top. To start, MailCatch makes it very clear that you can give out a mailcatch.com email address before you even access the website. Just think up some random username, and then point your browser at username.mailcatch.com to check your email. As with GuerrillaMail, all a person needs in order to access this mailbox is your username, and here there are no aliases here, so you really need to take that into account. MailCatch is read only, meaning you cant reply to emails, only read them. What you can do, though, for 2€ a month, is set up forwarding or POP3 access to your MailCatch address, so you dont have to use the Web interface to see your emails. All emails on MailCatch are deleted after a short time (several hours to several days).
In a nutshell: Read only, permanent address with alias, emails deleted after several hours to days, unique URL for your inbox, premium users can set up forwarding and POP3.
AirMail
AirMail is a disposable email address service with some nice perks. Unlike other services, you can only generate random emails, with no control over what theyll be. You can, however, generate one after the other until you find something you like. There seem to be at least 5 different domains in use. Once you find an address you like, you can give it to whoever you want, and receive the emails to AirMails interface. According to the AirMail website, you can view HTML emails, although I couldnt see an image I sent myself. AirMail also claims to strip hidden codes from emails, thus preventing third parties from learning information about your browser and IP.
The nice thing about AirMail is that it feels almost like regular email. You get a sound notification upon arrival of a new email, and you can check your emails from any browser on any computer by copying your inboxs unique URL. The address will last as long as you keep checking it. If you stop, everything will self destruct after 24 hours.
In a nutshell: Read only, address and inbox deleted after 24 hours, can access with unique URL, sound notifications, HTML viewer and code stripping.
EasyTrashMail
EasyTrashMail takes a slightly different approach to disposable emails, and for this one to work, you need to provide your real email address. On the up side, you dont have to use a clunky Web interface – all emails sent to your disposable address are automatically forwarded to your regular inbox. So how does it work? You provide the service with your real email address, and choose how much time you want your disposable address to exist. There are many options to choose from, ranging from 15 minutes to 1 month. Once you click on "Create" you receive a random email address at easytrashmail.com, and or as long as its up, youll receive anything sent to it directly to your inbox, without having to disclose your real address.
In a nutshell: need to provide real email, no Web interface, address can last from 15 minutes to 1 month.
Mailnesia
Aside from its clever name, Mailnesia comes with several other cool features. Mailnesia is similar to GuerrillaMail and MailCatch in that it never really expires, only deletes email, and you can access the inbox simply by having the username. Like GuerrillaMail, you can set an alias for your inbox, so you dont have to go around giving access to everyone who sees your address. There are several things that set Mailnesia apart: it comes in nine different languages, full HTML support, and the best part: auto clicking on confirmation/activation emails, which are what youd use this address for most commonly. This means that if you use this address to sign up to a service or a website, Mailnesia will automatically click the confirmation link for you, without you doing anything. Pretty cool!
In a nutshell: Read only, permanent address with alias, emails deleted after several hours to days, comes in 9 languages, auto clicking on confirmation emails.

How to Use Android or iPhone As a Presentation Remote Control
Presentations has significant importance in many fields such as classroom lecturing, businesses, etc. To deliver a presentation to an audience, usually we use a remote control or a wireless mouse to change the slides. However, if above two options aren’t available, here is how you can use your smartphone (iPhone or Android) as a remote control for your presentation.
Presentation Remote is a free web service that lets you control your presentations with your smartphone (currently it works with Chrome and Safari browsers only). The working procedure is very simple, just as described below.
- Install the extension “Presentation Remote” in Chrome from Web Store and then install a free mobile app “de Mobo” on your Android or iPhone.
- Now, open the “Presentation Remote” web app in Chrome and click “Connect” button. It’ll show a QR Code. On your phone, open “de Mobo” app, tap “Create Connection”, and then scan the QR Code to establish connection with your phone and computer (Make sure the phone and computer are using the same Wi-Fi network for reliable performance).
- Once both your phone and computer are connected, copy and paste the presentation URL into the text field. You can use PPT, PDF or Word document saved on your Google Drive or Dropbox as well as Slideshar, Scribd or Google docs presentation.
Now just swipe on your phone to change the slides or page, toggle the full screen view by pressing full screen button the phone, single tap the timer to start or pause the timer and double tap the timer to reset the timer. That’s all!

Get Your News On Your iPhone With the 2 Best Free iOS News Readers
This tendency has increased dramatically with the boom of smartphones and tablets, doing together to print news what email did to traditional “snail” mail years ago.
However, while nowadays most people get their news via Facebook, Twitter and other similar online social networking services, these are more like “digested” or “summarized” news, which rarely elaborate or provide depth.
If you use news readers though, you know that you can get and consume your news on your iPhone in a way that resembles the more “traditional” methods, providing you with much deeper and better news articles. The problem is that news reader apps tend to be paid apps (at least the good ones used to be), but it wasn’t until recently that some noteworthy, free alternatives became available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Let’s take a look at the two best of them.
What Exactly are News Feeds and Readers?
Despite every news site sporting its own Facebook and Twitter accounts, most, if not all relevant news channels still offer news feeds and RSS channels to which one can easily subscribe to using a service like Google Reader, which gathers all the news from the news’ sources that you like.Important Information: News feeds and RSS channels are streamlined versions of news created specifically for reader to subscribe using news reader services. If you have a Google account, you already have what you need to start subscribing to some RSS feeds. Head over to Google Reader to learn more.
2 Best News Readers for iOS
Its interface is very simple and intuitive, with users needing only to “flip” through articles to scan across them. That said, it is not the most efficient reader due to its interface, since it doesn’t show as many news as other alternatives on one screen.
Feedly
Our other alternative is Feedly, a more recent contender in the news reader space that offers a more traditional interface, but keeping things still a bit fresh with some original navigations elements. Feedly also syncs with your Google Reader account, making it fairly easy to pull your news from Google’s service to read in the app.Navigation within the app is ok, although you might need to adjust some settings in order to tailor it to your liking.
Conclusions
In both cases these apps allow you to save articles for later reading either within the apps themselves or through popular read-later services like Instapaper and Pocket (which we compared in this article). This puts them on par even with paid news readers and makes them very important alternatives for anyone who likes to read news the way their writers intended. Make sure to check out both apps, since they offer very different experiences, which gives you even more to choose from. And best of all? You get all these choices at no cost!

Create Scheduled Notification Panel Reminders With Lotify For Android
The Android notification bar provides you with a quick and convenient means to take a peek at all your important phone, social media and other events and updates. Be it the app update notifications from the Play Store, your upcoming calendar event, a missed called alert or a critical system upgrade notification, the bar serves as a dedicated spot on your device to remind you about virtually every important thing. With the previously reviewed ReNotify, we have already seen a very handy solution to create multiple custom notification bar alerts that can keep you apprised of your important tasks/notes without requiring you to rely on any overly complicated alarm, to-lo list management or reminder apps. New to the market, Lotify is yet another app belonging to said genre that can be called an enhanced variant of ReNotify. Besides supporting almost all the core features of the aforementioned app, Lotify brings to the table certain subtle personalization tweaks, as well as the option to create scheduled notification bar alerts.
Just like ReNotify, this app lets you create custom notification bar alerts/reminders, complete with custom title and brief description, by simply tapping the Lotify icon within your device’s notification shade. You may create as many notes from anywhere within the entire OS as you want, and make each note distinguishable from the other by assigning it a custom icon. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (and higher) users can use the two finger swipe gesture to view a brief description about the note, whereas users with older versions of Android will have to make do with just the subject/title of the note itself.

A Lotify notification can take three different forms: scheduled notifications, ongoing notifications and temporary notifications. Once on the new notification screen, you can assign the note a subject, a message and an icon of choice. Using the toggles at the bottom, you may decide to keep the reminder as an ongoing and/or scheduled one, or just a temporary one. In the latter’s case, swiping sideways, or tapping a notification from the notification shade will dismiss the message permanently.
An ongoing notification, on the other hand, cannot be cleared from said area via the clear button or the swipe-to-dismiss gesture. Instead, tapping such notification will take you to the app’s main UI, prompting you to clear the note once and for all if you choose. Should you opt to create a scheduled notification, you’ll be asked to specify the date, as well as the start and end time for the notification to display and it will show up at the assigned time, for the specified duration.

By default, the app keeps its new notification addition option persistently accessible from your device’s notification shade. You can however, disable this option by navigating to Menu > Disable “Add new” on the app’s main screen.
All in all, Lotify proves to be another remarkably simple to use solution for placing custom notes/reminders on your Android’s notification dropdown. Though there are certain improvements that can help the app get even better. For instance, the developer can consider adding the option to edit existing notes, maintain history of previously created notes, switch between dark and light theme, and/or allow users to pick custom notification icons from the Gallery.

Easily Search For Files Or Folders On The Network With LanHunt
Easily Search For Files Or Folders On The Network With LanHunt:

Local networks allow easy sharing of files between multiple computers but if there is a large number of files and folders shared on a network, managing all of them can be a bit difficult. If you are looking for a particular file or folder and don’t remember the computer it was on or its path on that computer, things can get a little frustrating. The Windows search option works great to look for files onyour local storage, but not quite so for network files. Today, we have an open source application for you called LanHunt that allows you to search for shared files and folders on the network. You can quickly search for network content and narrow down the results using file-type filters. In addition, the Open Location feature allows you to directly access the parent folder of a required file.
LanHunt’s user friendly interface allows you to search for files without having to go into any difficult configurations. When you run the app for the first time, the interface will appear to be a bit bland and not up-to-par with today’s design standards – something that the developer can and should improve. There is a search field in the center and right below it is the drop-down menu to change the file type, along with the Hunt button. You can choose to search all files, videos, audio files, documents or just executable file.

The application keeps a local database of files and folders on the network. Before you can start searching for files and folders using the application, you will need to the database. Just click the Update DB button at the top, hit Start and wait for the update to complete.

A very useful feature is that you can specify the IP range for searching the files. In order to avoid getting results from unwanted computers attached to the network, enter the start and end of the IP range that you want to include in the search.

When one or more matches for your search are found, they will be listed with link provided to you for directly open their location. Other than specific files, you can also perform a general search for a file type. For instance if you are looking for JPEG files, you can get all the JPEG images on your network in one go.

LanHunt is available in both portable and installable versions and works on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
