New In iOS 6 1 Purchase Movie Tickets Via Siri Expanded LTE Support More

After five betas, iOS 6.1 is finally out for all supported iOS devices. Contrary to popular expectations, it doesn’t come with any fresh new feature for everyone to enjoy like, say, a redesigned camera app, or a new lock screen shortcut for camera – the sort that were introduced with iOS 5.1 about a year ago. Instead, what you get is a small, region-locked feature addition to Siri, expanded LTE support in certain countries and an update to iTunes Match. Check out all the details after the jump.

From what we’ve heard, an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 is just around the corner. As such, if you rely on jailbreak tweaks or apps, please stay away from this update until the jailbreak community gives the signal.
If you are updating anyway, we recommend doing it over-the-air from Settings > General > Software Update instead of downloading the full near-1GB IPSW file. It’s smaller – weighing in about 90MB for people using iOS 6.0.1 – and much, much faster as a result. Still, if you want to start with a fresh slate, you can download the complete IPSW for your device from the links below. Please be sure to download the correct version, otherwise you may harm your device.
